Cath Timberlake became the new Commercial Manager for the Leeds office in December 2010 having had experience in a number of different broker development roles within the region.

Cath Timberlake commented
‘I am delighted to have joined QBE at a time which promises to be an exciting one as we face up to the challenges of the marketplace and economy in general. QBE is well placed to deliver a broker proposition that is based on mutual development putting the requirements of the client centre stage. In the short time the office has been open as a distribution development office the underwriting team have built an excellent trading reputation. Access to brokers of locally based decision-making underwriters who understand the needs of the market is paramount - all wrapped up in a quality service mindset.

Our original strengths of Property, Motor and Casualty (including Professional and Financial Lines) remain and have built on by adding Trade Credit and Motor Trade to our suite of products. Where possible we look to offer cross class solutions with risk management and first class claims service as standard. We are not like other insurance companies and we genuinely feel that brokers appreciate that.

I am looking forward to meeting old and making new business relationships in 2011.’
