2006 Syndicate 5555 established as at 1st October 2006, writing direct aviation insurance, as a sub-syndicate of Syndicate 2999
2006 Syndicate 1886 established for the 2006 underwriting year, writing predominantly Canadian liability business, as a sub-syndicate of Syndicate 2999
2005 Ensign Syndicate 980 business transferred out of Lloyd's into QBE European Operations
2003 Limit acquired Ensign Insurance motor business
2000 Limit plc group purchased by QBE Insurance Group. Management of QBE's existing syndicates at Lloyd's is transferred to Limit
1999 BUAL and JGL merged to form a single managing agent, Limit Underwriting Limited (Limit)
1998 Limit plc acquired remaining interest in BUAL and JGL
1996/7 Limit plc acquired majority interest in both Bankside Underwriting Agency Limited (BUAL) and Janson Green Limited (JGL)
1993 Limit (London Insurance Market Investment Trust) plc floated on the London Stock Exchange, as a special vehicle investment trust, in syndicates underwriting at Lloyd's Insurance Market
